Every Series Race awards Series Points based on finishing position and Race Type. Your best results determine your final score in the Canadian Skyrunning National Series™.
Series Points are awarded based on finishing position and Race Type. Higher finishes earn more points, with greater separation toward the front of the field. Every official finisher earns at least one Series Point.
Complete at least five of the nine Series Races to be included in the final National Series standings.
Race more than four times and only your four highest Series Points results count toward your final score.
Series Points earned at every Series Race contribute to the Canadian Skyrunning National Series standings.
The Canadian Skyrunning National Series™ is open to athletes regardless of nationality or residency.
Only official race finishes count toward the minimum five finishes required to qualify for the final National Series standings. DNF, DNS and DQ do not count.
The Canadian Skyrunning National Series™ includes all nine Series Races. Six of these nine also carry Skyrunner® National Series (SNS) designation — a second, parallel standings that connects eligible Canadian athletes to the international Skyrunner® World Series and SkyMasters.
Athletes earn the same Series Points in both systems — there's no separate SNS points system. The two standings simply have different qualification requirements: the National Series requires 5 of 9 race finishes (best 4 count), while the SNS requires 4 of 6 eligible race finishes (best 3 count).
The top three women and top three men in the final Canadian National Series standings form the Series podiums and receive 2027 prize money.
